El Paso Ford Dealerships Offer the 2017 Ford Fusion, a Re-Energized Blend of Style and Power

It’s a fresh new start for the 2017 Ford Fusion, set to make its way soon to El Paso Ford dealerships. It’s been some time since the Fusion has received any significant changes, but you can rest assured there are a lot of them to look forward to this time around.

New Look, New Feel

On the design front, you might be surprised to see this Ford looking all styled up a la Aston Martin, what with its sharp, sculpted design and unmistakable grille. The designers also decided to create different versions in accordance to trim levels: the Sport gets a shiny, black, mesh pattern; the new Platinum shines in bright chrome; as for the SE and Titanium trims, a wider, five-bar grille is featured to lend a freshen the car's previous look.

LED lighting is now standard on the car, from the headlamps, to fog lamps, to taillamps, and even the accent lighting. As good as all this sounds, we are still just talking about the exterior.

Powertrain Specs

Though an aspirated, 2.5-liter, inline four with 175 horsepower on a six-speed automatic transmission remains as the Fusion base engine, there is a new kid on the engine block. The new EcoBoost serves drivers a 1.5-liter engine that musters 200 horsepower, as well as an even mightier 2.0-liter with 250 horsepower, both with new dual-scroll turbochargers.

Meanwhile, Ford also included the so-called “pothole detection” strategy, which is essentially a continuously controlled damping technology. It reads sensors at very impressive 3-millisecond intervals so that the car can automatically adjust its shock absorbers every 30 to 50 milliseconds. This damping technology adds up to a versatility that makes your particular ride as smooth as possible.

Technology Upgrades

Technological advancements in the 2017 Ford Fusion don't stop at the drivetrain. This iteration has added driver conveniences and safety features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic collision-avoidance braking, lane-departure, lane-keeping assist, automatic parking, and engine stop-start.

The Sync3 infotainment system, which replaced the MyFord Touch, is now an option as well. Sync3 lets you utilize 4G LTE, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, among other devices and apps inside your car.

If you’re an AAA member, you are awarded an extra treat—the Concur expense-reporting app, providing premium information on the nearest fueling stations, fuel prices, and more. You can even check out where the nearest and hottest parties or events are unfolding with the car's Eventseeker. Meanwhile, Cityseeker gives you the down-low on top restaurant and nightlife choices.

Indeed, the 2017 Ford Fusion is engineered and designed to signify a bold, new stride. If you want to see more of this car's complements, then head over to a trusted El Paso Ford dealership for more details.
